Hey!

My name is Seren, I’m an Irish illustrator based in Manchester.

My work is a material-led printmaking practice with a specific focus on mono screen printing. I create layered, tactile prints, working across both colour and monochrome to explore how illustration can move beyond the page into physical, process driven outcomes.

My work reflects on my experience growing up in rural Ireland. Through observation and everyday imagery, I explore overlooked landscapes, textures, and quiet moments, using these references to evoke memory, atmosphere and a sense of place. I’m particularly interested in how rural and urban environments intersect, reimagining elements of rural life within urban contexts to explore themes of displacement, familiarity, and belonging.

My process is rooted in experimentation and the physical act of making. By working directly onto the screen, I embrace immediacy, imperfection, and variation, allowing each print to exist as a unique outcome rather than a fixed reproduction. I’m interested in pushing the boundaries of printmaking, using repetition and gesture to challenge traditional ideas of print reproduction, positioning my work between illustration and fine art. This creates space for a slower, more reflective way of looking.
